COURSES

Our courses provide a structured, hands-on approach to pottery. Depending on your course you will learn hand-building methods such as coiling and slab construction, progress to throwing and trimming on the wheel, and explore surface decoration using slips, stamps, handles, and cut-outs. You will also cover glazing techniques including dipping, painting, and stamping with glazes and oxides, finishing with a review of core skills and the creation of specific completed items. With a maximum of 8 in any class the ratio of instructors to students is 1:4.

The number of finished items each student makes will depend on the scope of their works. It is estimated you will have 15-25 pieces depending on size and complexity by the end of the course.
